The Telegraaf Attended the 2013 Heldendiner in Vreeland

Spectacular Charity Dinner in Vreeland for Brain Cancer Research
Last night, Studio ‘Welgelegen’ was the vibrant setting for an unforgettable charity dinner organized by the AH Second to None Foundation (now the Brain & Co Foundation). Known for its spectacular Heldendiners, the foundation did not disappoint this time either. With 250 guests, including influential business leaders and prominent families, an impressive amount was raised for the brain cancer research team at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (AVL).
The ambiance was breathtaking. Beautifully set tables and an elegant decor created a magical atmosphere. Guests enjoyed an exquisite four-course dinner, each course a culinary sensation. Lieke van Lexmond presented the evening with flair, while Alain Clark enchanted the audience with his musical performances.
One of the highlights was the auction of exclusive items. Enthusiastic bidding resulted in an impressive total. This dinner was also a tribute to Aniek Hendriksz, who passed away from a brain tumor at the age of 30. Her sister, Jacobien Hendriksz, the organizer of the evening, ensured that the night was filled with love, joy, and inspiring speeches, despite the great loss.
This foundation demonstrates that loss can go hand in hand with immense love, warmth, joy, and dedication to a good cause. Not a dull charity evening, but a fantastic celebration that everyone enjoyed. To celebrate life! The involvement and generosity of the attendees made the evening a great success.
