The Heldendiner 2015 Has Taken Place

On May 29th, the Heldendiner 2015 finally took place at the Koninklijke Industrieele Groote club. The evening was hosted by actress and musical star Maaike Martens, featuring spectacular performances by Voice Kids star Jennifer Hes, artist of the year Sjors van der Panne, international star Coby Grant, and the rock band Buckwheat, making it an unforgettable night.

Under the gavel of Christie’s auctioneer Benthe Tupker, we ultimately raised nearly 70,000 euros for the Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, specifically for research into brain tumors. We were able to auction off beautiful pieces and are immensely grateful to all the generous donors and supporters. We hope that with the funds raised, groundbreaking research can be conducted to ultimately eradicate this disease.

We also hope that all attendees look back on this special evening with a sense of satisfaction and warmth. As an organization, we reflect on this daily. As Aniek always said, “never give up, never surrender.” Under this motto, we continue the fight against brain tumors.

Our Aniek Hendriksz passed away in 2010 from a rare brain tumor, which deeply affected us all. Her perseverance, optimism, fighting spirit, and strength made her a true and incredibly special hero. This is why we organize the Heldendiner, as on this evening, we raise funds for brain tumor research.
