Benefit Piano Concert in Brasschaat, January 23, 2016

Marilie Appelboom – van Goethem, niece of Aniek Hendriksz, graciously offered to organize a benefit piano concert at her home in Brasschaat in collaboration with us. On January 23, 2016, a select group of people gathered to enjoy the intimate concert titled “Song and Opera Through the Ages,” featuring Pieter Grimbergen on piano and soprano Iris de Koomen.

A selection of beautiful songs and opera arias, ranging from light-hearted to grand and powerful, were performed. Works by Schubert, Schumann, Donizetti, Handel, and Verdi were showcased.

It was a special evening. Marilie, heartfelt thanks!

Of course, as always, the proceeds go to the AVL (Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital).
